In 2008 AAWGA President, Linda Morton, established the first annual President's Award. Awards are given to members in all playing levels. To be considered for the President's Award, women must
- Accumulate points during season play
- Each play date will have as many points available as the number of players in a given grouping
- Players are ranked from first to last, based on their scores for that date
- First place will receive as many points as there are players (if 15 players, earns 15 points)
- Last place will receive one point for playing (if 15 players, earns 1 point)
- Everyone in between similarly earns points in accordance to rank and number of players
- Golfers who play more and play better than average earn more points
- Play in at least 50% of the season play dates
- Support the organization through volunteering in some way
- Not win either the gross or net award for the year
